Kathy began her life in a small town in Nebraska. Growing up in a college town in the mid –west had its challenges, and through many life-altering situations she found herself facing some tough decisions with life altering consequences. She moved to Colorado in the early 80’s to escape it all and start fresh. This is where she met her husband and started their family. They are blessed with two children who live close by. Even before her oldest daughter was born she began working in the public arena with helping women in unplanned pregnancies. Her positions include sitting on ministry boards, house mom of 14 pregnant women, as well as the director of several pregnancy resource centers. Her work has given her many opportunities for public speaking, teaching and training both nationally and internationally and most recently developed a training and intern program for volunteers in a pregnancy resource center.
Being one of the first women in Colorado to openly talk about her abortion experience, she has been able to share about the healing that comes from owning her story and accepting the grace afforded her. Her passion to share Truth through Love and the sufficiency of Christ does not waver.
Regardless the topic Kathy brings sensible thoughts to the human condition. Laced with humour and honesty, she presents her motto “life, liberty and the pursuit of common sense” in a way that will captivate as well as motivate you to consider another way of looking at life and the struggles we face. Kathy is passionate and bold and encourages authentic conversations, which she believes open doors to healing and hope.
